Whenever the body is deprived of food, whether from famine or low carb diets, it insures survival by decreasing the metabolic rate in order to compensate for fewer calories. We must understand that the body, in its never ending quest to survive, sees these changes as threats and reacts quickly by regaining the weight to reacquire its natural set point. Misunderstanding this process would not be the best weight loss strategy causing many to abandon their weight loss goals in the first place. ? Yet almost as important as exercise, is what kind of exercise one does. Exercise that causes sweating and heavy breathing is sugar-burning exercise. However, people trying to sustain realistic and effective weight loss goals should incorporate workout plans that lower their resting heart rate while increasing their resting metabolic rate. Fat burning exercises for people losing weight should be slow and sustained. Forty-five to sixty minutes of vigorous walking everyday if possible. Exercise such as walking possesses many health benefits including lowering the set point and increasing the metabolic rate. In addition to walking some sort of weight resistance should be incorporated into your schematic. That could be calisthenics, weightlifting or simple resistance bands. This should give you more lean muscle which typically supercharges your resting metabolic rate (great for burning fat). Remember, there’s no need for tremendously heavy weight. Just pick a weight that works and don’t forget that proper form and technique are the safest and most effective way to lift weights. Effective and efficient weight loss may seem like paradox but it is attainable with the proper strategy.
